Who We Are

At Cannon Homes, we believe a successful project is about more than the finished result. It is also about the experience of getting there. Whether we are building a custom home or remodeling an existing space, our goal is to create a process that feels clear, organized, and centered on the homeowner.

We work with clients across Northwest Arkansas who value thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and a home that reflects how they want to live. From early ideas to final details, we approach each project with care, attention to detail, and a commitment to lasting value.

Humble Beginnings

After 10 years as a commercial general contractor and 6 years of architecture studies at the University of Arkansas, Josh Brinker decided to take his experience and passion for construction and buildings to the next level. Seeing the need to bring the professionalism of commercial construction to residential projects, he founded Cannon Homes & Remodels in 2020, with a mission to provide excellence in craftsmanship and a simple effective design-build process.

Cannon Homes received its contractors license the same day that government covid shut downs were announced. Little did we know it was the start of one of the biggest residential construction booms in recent history. In year one we went from a simple single bathroom remodel to whole home remodels and additions.

2020

The Work Continues

As the residential construction boom continued in 2021, Cannon Homes had completed its first high end luxury whole home remodel and addition, gaining recognition for attention to detail, and excellence in customer experience.

The building frenzy brought its challenges with material shortages and increased pricing effecting projects. As demand for quality residential contractors continued, we found ourselves building our first ground up accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in Bentonville and continued whole home remodels. We expanded our team of expert craftsmen, project managers, and designers to take on even more remodels and upcoming custom homes.

2021

Onwards & Upwards

With a growing client base and settling into proven systems and processes building in Northwest Arkansas, 2022 was the year we expanded our services to include building ground up custom homes. Not shying away from a challenge, we started not just one, but two custom homes and continued work on three other whole home remodels.

We invested in project management software to keep up with the work, but more importantly we invested in great people to come alongside and help us grow our team and bring excellence in construction to more homeowners. Taking on more and bigger projects our appreciation for our skilled tradesmen and craftsmen grew and built on relationships year after year.

2022

Continued Excellence

By 2023, having completed 2 custom homes, 10 whole home remodels, and over 20 other smaller kitchen and bath renovations Cannon Homes had established itself as a new and upcoming custom home builder and remodeler in Northwest Arkansas.

We continued to show our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovation with the use of client requested emerging materials and building techniques such as ICF concrete form foundations and exterior walls, Shou Sugi Ban charred wood siding, and triple pane glass windows shipped from Europe to meet clients energy efficiency goals. All while delivering personalized service building a strong referral network and portfolio of stunning homes.

2023

Expanding Our Services

Our fifth year in business was monumental. With the continuation of whole home remodels and custom homes we also completed our first multi family project expanding once again our ability to grow while maintaining our personalized, high quality approach.

This year a historic tornado ripped through Rogers, Bentonville, and surrounding area effecting homes and businesses. We were able to play a small part in helping the Northwest Arkansas community repair and restore our beautiful home here in the Ozarks. Towards the end of the year we started another custom home in Bentonville that was a tear down and rebuild from the storm damage.

Building Relationships

In 2025, Cannon Homes decided to make two big decisions. First, we added internal design services to become a true design-build construction company. Second, we decided to develop our first spec home. After growing our team with excellent design professional and securing an infill lot in East Fayetteville we were ready for one of our biggest years yet.

We would not be where we are without a huge appreciation for all of our trade partners and even more for all of the homeowners that have trusted us with their projects through the years. We don't only build homes, we build relationships.
